The increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near surface air and the oceans ever since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation.

Crime, the intentional commission of an act usually deemed socially harmful or dangerous and specifically defined, prohibited, and punishable under criminal law.

Gun policy is among the most controversial topics in the United States. To many, the answer is to enact more restrictions on legal access to firearms.

Health Care policy refers to decisions, plans and actions that are undertaken to achieve specific health care goals within a society.

The process of changing the way taxes are collected or managed by the government and is usually undertaken to improve tax administration or to provide economic or social benefits.

Social Security

Any government system that provides monetary assistance to people with an inadequate or no income. It's a set of benefits available from the state, market, civil society and households, or through a combination of these agencies, to the individual/households to reduce multi-dimensional deprivation.

The goal of all job creation strategies is to stimulate healthy economic growth. Jobs are central to economic growth and political stability.

Foreign policy, General objectives that guide the activities and relationships of one state in its interactions with other states. The development of foreign policy is influenced by domestic considerations, the policies or behaviour of other states, or plans to advance specific geopolitical designs.

Immigration is a complex issue. Economic, cultural, legal, and security interests all stand in the way of finding a policy solution to manage the flow of immigrants into the U.S.

The biggest issue in the American education system is the cost of higher education. We need to improve educational systems by implementing efficient solutions to complex problems.

The abortion debate is the ongoing controversy surrounding the moral, legal, and religious status of induced abortion. The sides involved in the debate are the self-described "pro-choice" and "pro-life" movements.

$15 Minimum Wage

Increasing the national minimum wage to $15 per an hour and improving the overall standard of living for minimum wage workers by providing them with a more appropriate income level to handle cost of living increases.

Free Public College

College affordability is often among the top concerns. When the cost of attending college, university, or trade school is too high, a lot of students simply choose not to pursue a higher education. That leaves many of them ill-equipped to find good employment, let alone attain the American dream.

Bernie Sanders intends to expand Social Security so that everyone in this country can retire with the dignity they have earned and everyone with a disability can live with the security they need.

Bernie Sanders believes that at a time of massive wealth and income inequality, we need a progressive tax system that is based on the ability to pay. The wealthiest Americans, large corporations, and Wall Street need to pay their fair share in taxes.

Bernie Sanders is a lifelong advocate for women. Bernie Sanders says that when he is in the White House, he is going to protect a woman’s right to control her own body. That is her decision, not the government’s.

Good jobs require a good education. That is why Bernie Sanders is going to make public colleges and universities tuition free, and cancel all student debt.

Bernie Sanders is running for president to restore the promise that every child, regardless of his or her background, has a right to a high-quality public education. Growing inequality is both the cause and the effect of our nation’s desperately underfunded public school system.

Bernie Sanders strongly believes climate change is real, catastrophic, and largely caused by human activities. He believes only aggressive immediate action can offset its future impacts. He often refers to it as the “great planetary crisis we now face”.

Sanders views global warming as a serious problem. In 2019 he announced support for Green New Deal legislation. Bernie Sanders insists that climate change is the biggest national security threat to the United States.

Gun control legislation should ultimately fall on individual states, with the exception of a federal ban on assault weapons and instant background checks to prevent firearms from finding their way into the hands of criminals and the mentally ill.

Millions of Americans are now working for totally inadequate wages. The minimum wage must become a living wage, which means raising it to $15 an hour over the next few years.

Bernie Sanders said the U.S. healthcare system should no longer be an embarrassment around the world and that it should guarantee medical coverage as a right for every American.

Bernie Sanders believes the United States must create an immigration system that invites greater innovation, diversity, and economic opportunity for both American-born citizens and the people who want to make this land their home.

Sanders is pro-labor rights and emphasizes reversing economic inequality to limit the power of the wealthy. Bernie Sanders believes workers deserve equal pay for equal work. He has fought for much of his political career to end discrimination and give working Americans the pay that they deserve.
